I would like to thank Bow Valley College and specially the instructor for making this course which has been extremely valuable for a non-profit organization like ours who were able to access top talent and work with them and learn from them to implement impactful solutions.

What an amazing experience. It was great to meet Tigist and the students that I was selected to work with were amazing. I would recommend and definitely work with them again.

I had the pleasure of working with Tigist and her student group this semester, and I can confidently say this has been the best group experience I’ve had so far through Riipen. From the very beginning, Tigist was clear, concise, and highly professional. Her communication set a strong tone for the project, and that same standard was reflected in the work and conduct of her students. During the final presentation, Tigist remained engaged and supportive, while also challenging her quieter students to contribute and step forward in a kind and courteous way. It was clear she fostered both accountability and care within the team. I would absolutely recommend collaborating with Tigist again—her leadership made this a standout experience.

It was an absolute please to work with Tigist and her student team at BVC. The student have diverse skills for software development and integrating AI and many other useful features. Highly recommended for small ventures working on software development.

Working with Professor Tigist on the Website Enhancement for Bright Lights For Africa Foundation was a truly wonderful experience. She was always available, supporting both the student team and our organization, ensuring that the work stayed focused and aligned with our vision. Because of her leadership, we now have a website that truly reflects who we are — a platform that allows us to better serve the communities we support in both Canada and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Professor Tigist provided clear direction to the students and always took the time to clarify any questions with us, making the entire process smooth and collaborative. Her dedication, leadership, and collaborative approach greatly contributed to the success of the project. We are deeply grateful for her commitment and support, and we look forward to future collaborations.

The collaboration with the four students on this capstone project greatly exceeded my original expectations. They not only delivered a design but also a fully functioning demo. I would look forward to any future potential collaboration.

The students were divided into two groups of 5 or 6 people each. Each group, of course, was different regarding interaction. Overall, I'd definitely recommend working with Professor McKinnon. We had a very positive experience, especially with one group, who devised a detailed plan for our nonprofit to implement a company intranet. It will, upon completion, become our volunteer portal.

Working with Elizabeth as main contact, we had very good communication. The research was extremely thorough and one of my focus was to make a new site easy to change and lower the monthly cost. I appreciate the hard work from the team.

This team helped my company achieve the Cyber Essentials Security Credential. I could have not have done this without them. I was impressed by the number of security policy documents that they helped create and the understanding of the requirements of the Cyber Essentials credential.
