cash register marketing social justice salesRegenesis TMU is a dynamic environment organization that implements community projects that support environmental sustainability and social justice at Toronto Metropolitan University. We currently operate a number of environmental initiatives on campus, including the Mutual Market, a weekly market that offers a variety of good, healthy and sustainably produced sweet and savory foods and condiments; as well as arts & craft items made by students on campus. The goals of the Regenesis Mutual Market is to enhance food accessibility and promote sustainability that is environmentally and socially just.
Students will have several tasks to complete and can choose any of the following:
- Attending the Market on Thursday’s all day
- Setting up tables, market displays, and banners
- Supervising tables, cash registers, and revenue during the market
- Completing transactions and sales of the Regenesis Mutual Market products
- Providing assistance to the vendors at the market
- Directing pedestrians traffic
- Providing information to the general public on the market and volunteering opportunities
- Handing out leaflets and pamphlets regarding the market
- Representing the organization in a professional and congenial manner in person
- Assisting customers with any inquiries regarding the organization
- Collecting data regarding the market and work with the market manager to improve the market experience
- Create marketing content for promoting the markets
We will aim to support students in the following ways:
- Weekly office hours
- Weekly one hour check-in
- Ongoing mentorship and career coaching

Regenesis is a community environmental organization dedicated to empowering students to address today’s environmental and social concerns through advocacy and local service. We focus on creating practical student-led environmental initiatives and programming. Our services help provide free or low-cost services and meaningful leadership opportunities for students, all the while, making our communities, cities, and planet more sustainable.
