Description

At tabi, our mission is to help people live in deeper alignment with their values through a unique blend of self-reflection tools, goal-setting frameworks, and personalized guidance. We are a small, purpose-driven startup based in Toronto, and we value curiosity, empathy, and action. You will be working alongside a passionate team who believe in the power of community and human-centered design.

Core Problem Tabi Solves: “I feel scattered and disconnected—I want a simple way to bring reflection, action, and tracking together so I can see progress toward the life I actually want.”
In plain words, tabi is the system that makes sure your self-reflection doesn’t die in your notes. It bridges the gap to action, gives you momentum, and shows you you’re actually becoming who you want to be.

Primary Pain
People who care about their growth and well-being feel scattered, overwhelmed, and disconnected from what actually matters to them. They have fragmented tools (journals, to-do apps, calendars, notes), but no single place that helps them align values → priorities → actions in a way that feels grounding and sustainable.

We welcome all levels of experience and are looking for hands-on help in many aspects, so if there isn't a project that's the right fit, let's have a discussion and we can probably create one that works for all of us!

At our core:
Mission → To help people flourish from a foundation of wellness, one connection at a time.
Vision → To seamlessly empower individuals in cultivating holistic well-being for themselves and their communities.

Web OR Mobile App UI / UX Design & Prototype

Our company would like to explore designing a prototype for a responsive web application. Tasks may include: Conducting background research on existing competitor web application for the product. Conducting research if a web app or mobile app is the right fit. Identifying key areas of development requiring more complicated tech and how they might approach creating the prototype (including pros and cons to specific tools). Identifying areas in which AI can be utilized within the platform. Learning and using various software design tools. We strongly recommend students learn how to use Figma as this is the latest and greatest tool currently available. Creation of a screen by screen UX / UI prototype on Figma. Conducting UX / UI testing with real potential users potentially involving paper prototypes or other software tools to support this

Digital Marketing for Wellness Startup

Our company is consolidating resources into a single hub to enable personalized wellness resources to be found quickly. We have developed a set of marketing strategies, but it has been challenging to implement them. We would like to collaborate with students to review and post content promoting our company. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Familiarizing themselves with our target market, products and services. Reviewing marketing content in the form of posts, emails, events, etc. Deploying content according to our social media calendar to increase website traffic. Overseeing our channels and keeping them up-to-date. Bonus steps in the process would also include: Recommending search engine optimization (SEO) strategies so our materials are easily accessible.
