Fanshawe College students in this program understand customer experience design through Customer Experience (CX) research, maximizing journey mapping, measuring the CX journey, and how to deploy direct and interactive omni-channel (multiple) marketing campaigns using customer intelligence and social media analytics. This project will involve groups of 4-5 students in teams to develop a new customer experience for a product or service. The objectives are to apply the course material and develop an appreciation for the process that a Customer Experience Specialist or Marketing Manager goes through in developing a new customer experience plan. Each team will play the part of a customer experience company which encompasses all the CX tools and will be pitching a new customer experience to your organization. Additional details regarding the live client work will be discussed in class.

Your organization has a product or service requiring a marketing plan. Up to six student teams will spend over 10 weeks (40+ hours) conducting research and developing a Strategic Marketing Plan including recommendations for implementation. Students will conduct a situation analysis, research your product/service (including potential target market, competitors, and industry considerations), formulate alternatives, and recommend strategies and implementation plans. All students in each cohort will work on your plan and in the end, you will receive up to six Strategic Marketing Plans.

The Internship: 420 mentored field hours (volunteer or paid) in an Early Years Program; childcare, related child & family service, or a relevant government agency. Typically from May-Aug (14 Weeks) Opportunities for students to: Pursue a placement expereince according to future careers in the Early Childhood Education/Care sector and/or future academic interests and goals. Students will apply strategies to support continuous learning & promote effective pedagogical practices in an EY setting Refine leadership competencies using the College of Early Childhood Educators Code of Ethics and Standards , and the Whole Leadership Framework (McCormick Centre). Information Materials on the Global Drug Trade - Fall 2024 and Winter 2025

Students in this program are able to examine addictive substances as a global commodity, tracing their impact on issues of race, empire and inequality. While studying the opium warms of the 19th century into the narco violence in present-day Mexico, students have a better understanding of the various impacts of the drug trade on the modern world. Students will have knowledge around issues of criminality and policing, how transnational flows of licit and illicit drugs shape how societies interact with each other and reveal persistent power imbalances. Students will be able to speak to the wide demographic of individuals who impact the global drug trade, including: imperial administrators, Colombian drug lords, CIA agents, Central American villagers, mafia dons and pharmaceutical sales reps.
Ergonomic Product Analysis and Recommendations

Students will work on one main project over the course of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Students in this course learn to use biomechanical, Human Interface, usability, and anthropometric indicators to evaluate products. Ideally the product offers some comfort, safety or improved usability for the customer. In this project, students will work with a company to review a product that aims to solve an ergonomic issue and its advantages vs the current products and process on the market.

Students in this program will have a keen understanding of the interconnectivity of global and local issues. Students are able to articulate the roles, responsibilities, and impact that individuals can have within their local, national, and international communities. They will also have exposure to examining topics such as: population growth, race, diversity, nationalist, poverty, technology, migration, global economics, conflict and the environment.

This fall (September to December 2022), Fanshawe College’s Advanced Ergonomic Studies (AES) 2022/2023 cohort of students will be challenged to learn and work in an incredibly unique and innovative way. The AES faculty have learned through the pandemic that remote workplace projects can provide our ergo students with valuable job skills and experiences. Therefore, we are looking to industry to help us bring ergonomics research projects from organizations, such as yourselves, into the classroom. We would like to invite you and your organization to participate in this fall’s Research Methods and Statistics (RMS) class. This RMS course is designed to prepare students to conduct research as it applies to the field of ergonomics . A small group of our AES students will be tasked to work remotely with your organization to conduct an online survey with your employees that answers some ergonomics question you may like to resolve.

Field Placement in Advanced Ergonomic Studies
The field placement is the culminating experiential learning opportunity for students in Advanced Ergonomic Studies. We are looking for companies to support 280 hours (8 weeks) internship. Most students are eager to be onsite or blended . The ergonomic students have completed two semesters of intensive theoretical and practical study in the ergonomics discipline. They are available May 2022 to June 2022. The field placement project enables students to apply skills and concepts to solve real problems. Student placements can occur virtually and onsite with proper Covid protocol. The student's placements are for credit and therefore unpaid. Geographic location is therefore a consideration .
